Anita Baker Sings National Anthem At Game Tonight
 

Just wanted to let all the Anita Baker fans know. I can't wait to hear her perform even though it will be a short performance. Its good to know she is representing for Detroit. Aretha Franklin will be singing next Tuesday I believe. Happy Game Watching!!!!

Okay, I'm not stupid or anything...but which game? Baseball? Basketball?

Thank goodness I came back on GC because I would have been mad had I missed Anita.

Utterly perturbed that the mic kept going out. Don't you just love her though? She's the most down to earth artist I know. We know she rocked it even though we couldn't hear the entire song.

the audio screwed up cause the crowd was being so rowdy. that is what the announcers said

I thought it was just my TV. I heard that she was going to sing on the radio yesterday, I tuned in just in time to hear her. I must say she still has a strong set of pipes. It was good to see and hear her.

My sentiments exactly. It was great to see her even though the audio was messed up. And what a game :D Detroit spanked that a??!!!!

I agreed even though I miss Anita Baker singing.

Anita was rippin' that song! I was SOOOOOOOO happy that she was singing again!!!!

This just makes me REALLY wanna know when she is going to bring out a new album.....

And yes...the Lakers got HURT!!!!! *pumps fists*

Her album is supposed to come out in September. I wish she would be on the Essence line-up this year. SHE TORE IT UP LAST YEAR!

My 12 year old niece asked, "who is that?" Of course I told her. She says, "ohhh she can't sing." :rolleyes:

I said "THAT'S ANITA BAKER, plus the audio is messed up!!!!" :eek:

She said, "I don't care she. She still can't sing." :o

I told her to tell her parents that! They loved Anita, especially her father.

Please tell her that the American Idol, Britney Spears, and all that other random pop/R&B mess that she is used to is NOT singing. Anita will SLAUGHTER Fantasia in a singing contest ANY day. Even though their styles are different, Anita can wipe the floor with some of the so-called "singers" out here today. There is no comparison.
