Informal Recruitment ideas
Hey everyone,
I am membership director (Recruitment) this year and I have to start planning for informal recruitment which is in early september. I was wondering if any of you have cute informal recruitment event ideas besides the basics ones like marde gras and cookouts. We are allowed to have up to four informal recruitment events. Thanks Heather |
We did a "pretty in pink" theme where we watched the movie but decorated the whole house in pink balloons, with pink food & drink (cookies & punch)! It was super cute! :) Another possibility is the "Breakfast Club" where you watch the movie and our chef made lots of yummy breakfast food like bacon (my chapter loves bacon! lol!).
Those might be a bit long if the parties can only be a certain length of time. Another good party that worked was casino night where we rented tables and all dressed like Vegas dealers (black pants with a white shirt). It was a lot of fun and you could make psuedo-martinis (sprite & the green marischino cherries). PM me if you need more ideas, I have a TON of them! :) |
If you have the budget, go roller skating. This was the #1 recruitment event my girls did. I had a ton of fun and it really let the girls let lose and act like we were 12. The rink did games and races and whatnot.
Last semester, they had a banana night. I think I explained this on another thread. The invite said "Bring your own Banana." The banana was used to make banana splits with all the toppings. Decorations: yellow and yes, paper banana cut outs. And since our rush chairs were crafty, they split everyone into teams of 5, gave them a banana and various crafty items (googly eyes, fabric scraps, pipe cleaners, glitter, etc). They had to dress up their banana. I know... it sounds really strange, but it was way cute. |
we did a "Friends" theme, it was real cute we all looked cute and we watched an episode of friends, everyone seemed to love it and we had fun really getting to know the PNM's
