I was just bored and noticed that there weren't any new threads in our AOII room. Just thought I would stop browsing pages and say hi to everyone. Hope y'all are having a great summer! :) Are you excited for LI? What else are you guys planning for this summer?

I am so pumped for LI! This will be my first! I've only been to the NYC 1997 and Norfold 2003 conventions!

I'm in my second AOII wedding this weekend! We are going to sing some AOII candlelight songs at the wedding reception.

I am finishing up teaching next week (YAY!) for the year, at least until september, then I'm off to France for a month plus a couple of days for a professional development seminar in Provence since I'm a teacher. In August, I'm in a wedding for a friend that I met while studying in France the first time...otherwise I would have probably stayed in France longer. =)

I can't wait! I leave June 26th!:D

I've got 2 weddings and I'm going on a cruise all within 3 weeks of each other. That should keep me busy (and broke)...

I'd love to go to LI, but I'm not lucky enough to have a reason to. Anyone know of any open positions? I am looking forward to convention in ATL (it will be my first), since it will actually be in the same city where I live.

BTW, anyone know an easy way to tell if any of the open jobs @ IHQ would be available w/o moving to TN (ie, they involve so much travel you could live anywhere)? I'd love to work for AOII, but Hubby's job takes precedence (more $) and it won't be moving us to Nashville (Brentwood) anytime soon.

I have a pledge sister who works at headquarters and she would always tell me when there was an opening. I know you can always look on their website and sometimes they post them on there or just email the receptionist@alphaomicronpi.org and she can tell you. I know the position they had open recently was with the Emporium and another one of my pledge sisters was lucky enough to land the position. She's only been there a week and already loves it!

I have a wedding next weekend. My first lid'l is getting married! :) I'm excited. Seems everyone I know is getting married. We have 6 girls that are within the next year and 3 have already gotten married since spring semester was over. I'm excited though, I haven't seen my lid'l since she graduated last year.


France sounds like fun!! I want to go there someday, and someday I will! :D I have a bet going with my dad, so when I win, I will be going to Europe. Won't be for a couple of years though. Darnit! Have fun, and have a safe flight!

AOIIBrandi and OMG~I haven't been to a Convention or LI yet. I can't go this year to LI b/c I have summer classes all the way through until mid August. But, I will be moving back to East Tennessee next May, so I WILL be at Convention in Atlanta! Hopefully I'll get to see all the wonderful GC AOII's there, that would be awesome.

I have classes this summer (Physics, History of Rock and Roll, and African Civilization). Then only a year until graduation!!! *jumps up and down* YAY! Plus, I'm working my hiney off so I can buy a new car next year...heaven knows I need one!

This summer I am working at a daycare and planning my wonderful wedding to a wonderful man! YAY

I just got back from an AOTT wedding during Memorial Day weekend and it was so much fun! Congrats to all the new AOTT brides to be!
This summer I will be going to the mountains of Brevard, NC for a family reunion and HOPEFULLY to Hilton Head for a girls beach weekend! I am not going to LI this year but I went last year and had a blast!!
AOTTBrandi--sorry I have been so MIA lately--lets try and get together for coffee or something soon. I hope you are liking Atlanta!

When is the one in ATL. I live like 40 min away from there and it would be fun to go. I haven't done that much aopi stuff lately and I need some.

The Convention in Atlanta is in June 2005. It's in Nashville this year though.

I had the best time at my pledge sister's wedding this past weekend! She looked gorgeous! All of us AOIIs there stood around her and sang, "To you beautiful Lady of Alpha O!" There were some guests in other sororities, and I know they were just so jealous they couldn't get up there and do that with us! :)

How does that song go? I don't think I know it.

I'm with zinf. I've never heard that song before and we have a sister getting married this Saturday.... :D
