What is your take on?

I was looking on ebay today at ADPi things. I wonder what your take on the coozie is?

I know I have some ADPi shot glasses, but I collect shot glasses from all over and a lot of people know that so when they go places they bring me back one too so I can have a ton when we finally build our bar and display them.

Anyways, I dont drink out of any of them. I have some plain shot glasses to use if we need them.

What is your take on the beer coozie with ADPi on it or the ADPi shot glasses? I mean we are not allowed to drink with our letters on so I feel why would you parade your beer around in an ADPi coozie.

What is everyone elses feelings on it?

I think the koozies are fine because they could be used for cokes, not necessarily beer. I do have somewhat of a problem with the shot glasses because there is only one reason to use a shot glass, and that clearly (in my opinion) breaks the "No drinking with letters" rule.
Just my 2 cents.
My brother also collects shot glasses- he's got a TON and they're so fun to look at and buy for him.

Agreed!

I collect shot glasses, so yea, I have an ADPi one. I don't use it though b/c of the no drinking in letters rule.

I don't really see it as a problem unless I were to see a sister drinking from one.

I have a glass that has the same imprint on it as the ADPi shot glass that I got for initation. I don't use it, but it's cool to just have I guess.

lol. I agree you cna use your coozie for pepsi or soft drinks. when i go to the races i take coozies and usually drink water or soft drinks from them. Im not a big beer fan esp the beer at the races, but I was at the Charlotte race and we had garage passes cause of family, anyways we were going back to the seats to see the race and I noticed all the people with coozies, so I started to take notice of what was on them. Anyways, I saw 3 diff sororities with coozies with beer in them. I wont say who they were but I was like oh wow cause I had never thought of it before. I guess I was just surprised with how people dont care.

No shot glasses or coozie's here!! Sad to say- but I bet there are some ADPis out there that do not think...just like the girls from the other sororities you saw with coozies!!!

Frankly, I don't like to see the Crest on any glassware - because you really can't control who uses it. But that's my 2¢

Just like everyone else said, the koozie can be used for pop or beer, although we all know that it's just nasty to drink right out of a can, don't we? ;)

of course! don't most sororities have a cup rule anyway? (as opposed to drinking an alocholic beverage from a can or bottle, but to use a cup instead?)

If not, they should. There's all sorts of nasties on cans!! Plus, you never know for sure what's in it! blech.

In regards to the "cup" rule, someone might correct me if I'm wrong, but I think EO changed that rule. I know Beta Beta no longer follows that rule. We are now allowed to drink out of the bottle. The reason we changed this is because it's a lot easier to slip a drug into a cup than it is the smaller opening of a bottle. With the increase of GHB use these days, I think it's wise to do away with this rule.

texas*princess 06-10-2004 09:49 AM

that makes a lot of sense on the whole 'cup rule' thing.

We were just always told that if we were to order a drink to ask for a cup as well and pour it in there ourselves.

... but that drug thing def. makes sense.

honeychile 06-10-2004 11:07 PM

I didn't even know that there had been a cup rule! I just think it's generally nasty to drink out of a can, and avoid it at all costs!
