Peace Corps??
 

Hey guys!

I have a question for ya'll. I am thinking about joining the Peace Corps after graduation and I was wondering if any GCers have ever been in the Peace Corps and can tell me any more about it than what I have found on the website.

If you have any personal stories about it that would be great!! Any and all information would be greatly appreciated!!!

I have a friend who is currently in a program in Peru for the next 2 years. She has nothing but positive things to say about it. It seems like a great way to do something positive and learn about another culture.

I applied and withdrew my application because I had also applied with the CIA and NSA. I don't think it would have been right for me. I had several friends that did it. One dropped out because he just couldn't handle it. 27 months is a long time. You don't think it is but that is a long period of hardship that you endure away from any zone of comfort.
