Indy Greek Social Scene

Since it is the summer time I was curious if anyother consultants, directors, or other employees of greek headquarters in Indy would like to start having some BBQ's, card night's, and outings?

It would be a great way for some summer fun!

Actually , good luck!

While it sounds good, most if not all Members of Hqs enjoy fun nights, a lot of their time is taken up with Inter-Greek things already. Then, they just want to rest!:)

Spend time with Family and kids.

Call us up!

Don't know what Organization your part of but that is something that we have been looking at doing. So if you want to meet up and start getting people together, give us a call. We'd be more than happy to start getting a social group around.

Hope to hear from you soon.

That would be a cool idea. Many of the professional staffs are the same age; 22-30 and especally with the consultants being in town for the summer and not knowing any one in Indy, its a perfect opportunity to meet new people and hang out with probably the only peopel on the planet who 'get' what its liek to be a consultant/staffer. You should take the lead and organize a vollyball game/bbq at a sports park or something. Send out a fax/invite to the HQ's there in Indy. I'm sure someone on your staff knows how to reach them all. I can only think of positives. You all get to meet new people, and helps bring professional staff closer together.

A win for all.

BTW, the Lambda Chi staff is made up of an awesome group of guys. Being the advisor for a new colony, (and just barely older than HQ Consultant staff myself) I have had the opportunity to work with almost all of them and have become friends with most of them.

Well, I'm not a consultant, but I'm greek and live in Indy. PM me if a group wants to go out. :)

a long time ago, but...

Back in the '50s the vets were in full swing in school; fraternities
were expanding like crazy and some of us guys were considered
"knights of the road." TKE hq was then in KC, and many of the fraternities were still staffed with old codgers, steak and milk men, to bed at nine. BUT there were a few outfits, I recall Sig Pi
who we invited to our field training schools...we had eight on the
road then, and we met several real neat folks also on the road.
Nowadays most fielders are young folks and they've a number of
stories, experiences to share. A veritable cache of ideas, too.
That would be great to get some of the traveling poobahs and to
share, frolic and extend further the hand of Fraternity!
Gosh, you will double your worth on the outside if you can mingle
with fellow Greeks. And, the travelin' years you'll cherish always!

When I traveled as a consultant and was on staff I looked *so* forward to times out with other consultants and staff members. It was a blast! There was a Delta Sig from my school who traveled at the same time I did, so we always had a good time. Have fun - enjoy Indy! I sure did - some of my best memories!!! :)

I lived in Indy for several years post-college, and always used to meet HQ staffers and consultants at the establishments in Broadripple.
God I miss Broadripple!:D

Another Greek Indy resident here. Can't argue that Broad Ripple is a great place to hang out, but for summer fun you can't beat the Rathskeller...

BSUPhiSig'92 07-27-2004 12:48 PM

indygphib- You're right, the Rathskeller is a great place to go during the summer. It's been a loooong time since I've been there!

Gotta love the Biergarten on any given Friday after 5 p.m.!

During the year I'm in West Lafayette. Surprise Surprise.
