Chapter Advisors
 

What do you like/admire most about your Chapter Advisors? Has a chapter advisor made a lasting impression on you?

I'm asking this for a couple of reasons:
(1) As a tribute to your chapter advisor
(2) As advice for new chapter advisors

Our chapter advisor was the greatest, IMHO. She is an alum from our chapter. She would give us suggestions on everything, but wouldn't be offended if we decided to do something our own way. She was involved without smothering us. I have one personal story that made me love her. As a pledge, I was late getting to the meeting place to walk to the homecoming float. Well, it was quite a long walk and I was not sure where I was supposed to be going. She arrived at the place at the same time I did and proceeded to walk with me to the float. This was very nice of her because as I stated, the walk was a long one and she did not have to be at the float, but was just coming to watch the parade and go to the alumnae luncheon afterward. She has made me want to volunteer for AXiD now that I am an alum. I would like to make new members feel as welcome as she did for me.

And one other thing. She made it a point to get to know at least a little bit about each girl as a NM and she hardly ever forgot anything anyone told her about themself. That also amazed me. OK, I've gushed enough.
