Summer Vacations

Does anyone have plans for the summer? Some of us have finished school for the summer or have grduated and some of us have to work, but is anyone planning to take any vacation time?

I have no plans for a vacation as I need all the money I can get to go to school in September.
I'm planning on taking one day off in August to go to the Second Annual Girls weekend in Collingwood, Ontario. Last year was so much fun. 40 women (most of us strangers) spen the weekend together in a Chalet on Blue Mountain and it's was a blast. We're doing it again this year and there will some new faces. I can't wait.

I might go to Cleveland in July with my mum to visit my aunt for the weekend but that's not definite yet.

Summer plans...a week at the beach with my parents :) and another week with the in-laws :( and a trip to Toronto to visit my husband's college roomie. Oh yeah, and about 5 weddings all over the place!

Woohoo!! A trip to Toronto!! That's where I live!

I have one wedding to go to in about 2 weeks, but it's not out of town and the reception and ceremony are being held very close to where I live so I don't have to do a lot of travelling.

I'll be spending a week in the Berkshires with my family... that's a bigger adventure than it sounds since I first will be driving from Texas to Toledo to pick up my parents (who don't drive) and then driving to North Adams, Mass... a little town in the northwest corner of Massechusetts. My dad still owns the house that his father grew up in (it's been in our family since the 1890s) Its a week of total relaxation-- no phone, no pager, no email... lots of fun, quaint shops, scenic vistas, clean air... can't wait!

Backpacking around Oceania (Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji) for a month!

Then coming home, maybe going to NYC.

I am living in an apartment in Lexington over the summer and doing research with my philosophy advisor. I'm hoping to parlay what I do this summer into a senior thesis for next year!

I am also planning a lot of weekend trips home, to DC, and to Virginia Beach!

lady Pi Phi we go to Toronto all the time, my husband went to Bishop's and has many friends in that area!

That's so cool. What do you usually do when you come up to Toronto?

I dont think there will be a summer vacation for me this year..

I am saving up for a new car and new apartment. Plus there are so many weddings this summer for me as well.. those will be prob be my vacations.

Though I might travel to seattle for some time sometime in september.

Well I just got back last tuesday from Indiana, don't know if it counts as vacation it was training for the internship that I hate and really want to quit. Started working today at the place where I work during the summer b/c of the sucky internship.

And I'm planning on going to Austin maybe once this summer. Or Houston(Maybe) maybe Colorado too. Theres just not enough time to do everything I want to do!

I unfortunately don't really have a vacation planned for this summer. Instead I'm working two jobs and hoping I can steal away to Indianapolis for a little to see some of my Pi Phis! :)

This weekend though I am heading up to Ft. Wayne to see my Godmother and hang out at her pool! ;)

I desperately hope that we can take a vacation the last week of June. We haven't had a summer vacation in years and years. However, it'll take some cooperation from my students, as summer semester starts tomorrow and I'll be teaching Spanish 2010. ("Hey guys! Want a few days off?")

Also, our family is caring for 3 little Guatemalan kids whose mom has to leave the state to get an operation for their baby brother and can't return until October. I have this feeling that the 3 little Guatlings will be on the trip with us!

Wow! Carnation, caring for all your own children plus 3 others. You truely are an amazing woman!

hey my summer vacation i went to England, Scotland and Ireland to visit family, now im back its just working and wk end trips to see my wonderful boyfriend ( a Tau Kappa Epsilon ) :) <3 cant wait to get back to morgantown... <3 i miss all my sisters !

This summer, I have an internship in the marketing department of a company located about three hours north of my hometown. I am renting a house with another girl who goes to school with me, who has an internship at the same company. It's turned out to be a fabulous job so far. My roomie and I are having lots of fun, living in a beautiful location - and making good money, too!
