True or not?

I saw this posted in another thread, and I wonder if anyone can confirm this as true?

"BTW, the Auburn Delta Sigs who wore blackface the semester before I pledged were completely shunned at Convention. No one wanted to talk to them and found other tables when the Auburn guys sat down with them. As far as I'm concerned, they got off light...way too light...but they felt the burden of it from the Delta Sigs who aren't ignorant..."

Well, it's really none of your bigoted business to confirm, but I'll let someone back it up.

You're too funny Hoosier. It's not your business to come to my fraternity's forum and try to find back up to something I quoted in an effort to increase your self preservation. No one would like it if you went to your fraternity's forum and ask how they feel about you...

Oh wait, you're too much of a coward to say what fraternity you're in.....

Auburn Chapter

To the origional poster of this thread:

I can't confirm or disagree from the opinion of who wrote that quote, I was not there, but that was years ago. Nationals and the chapter corrected the problem that the gag(from the individuals) caused. I'm sure that there is a news site that can give you what you want to know, but do not ask brothers to condemn each other. you will not find that here.
I do not see how this subject is any of your buisness and it should not be talked about on a public forum at any rate.

Convention in 2001 was held in August. If I remember correctly, this event happened in October of 2001, thus the first Convention where this could have happened would have been this past July. I don't recall anyone from Auburn being there other than maybe the chapter president, so the Auburn "guys" weren't shunned.

BTW Hoosier, I PMed you with a couple of books you might find interesting.

Fellas, quit the name calling. Act as gentlemen. Remember, you may be the only Delta Sig someone knows or sees, so what you do reflects on the entire Fraternity.

I can say that it defiently is not true. The event happend between the DC and Chicago conventions. I met two Auburn brothers in Chicago... an undergrad and a recent alum. If anyone shuned them I did not see it.

I've visited our guys at Auburn and they are quality... a mistake was made, they learned from it, they worked to overcome it and have regained a lot of respect on their campus...even from NPHC. They are one of the only IFC groups that does co-programing with NPHC.
