My cousin's wife's sister (I know, confusing!) is/was in that chapter. She (my cousin's wife) told me some stories about it. Does anyone know any of their history? From what she told me, they were a local that went national...but with 'Delta' as their chapter name, that doesn't make sense. Of course, I don't know how y'all select chatper names.

It sucks that they're closed, but it happens. I didn't realize how many chapters we had in TX that have closed!

Several scenarios make sense, the most likely being that Delta chapter closed, then at some point a local on the campus went national with Phi Sig, recolonizing the Delta chapter, and eventually closed a second time.

BetaRose is correct. We try to keep things consistant with our chapter names, so if the original chapter closes and we recolonize later on the chapter name is still the same.

It must have been fairly recent that it's closed since it's website was updated in 1999, and I remember it being open when I was active...

so it's just been w/n the last 5 years if it has closed...
