OKC Bombing Memorial
OKC Zoo -- one of the top 5 zoos in the US If visiting, you should stay on the southeast corner of downtown -- within walking distance to Bricktown. Bricktown has all of OKC's sports venues and best clubs. I'm moving down to that area soon :D |
Hey, I live in Denver. There's not enough room on the server.

Well if you came to Macon you should come during Cherry Blossom Festival time. Lots of concerts and food and art festivals. It last for about ten days and there is so much stuff to do everyday! Plus the town is beautiful then! But, any other time of the year, there isn't much to do in Macon besides eat. There are an unbelievable amount of extremely good restaurants! There is also the GA Music Hall of Fame and the GA Sports Hall of Fame. The sports hall of fame is really really fun!
If you ever decide to visit DeLand, FL, DONT! There is absolutely nothing to do. You will spend your whole time going to Daytona or Orlando. |

1) Jacksonville Zoo
2) The Beaches!!! i live 15 min away 3) Jacksonville Landing ( it is a shopping area on the st johns river.......although it sucks right now cause of remodeling) 4) I love love love driving on San Jose Blvd. Ever since I moved here 6 and half years ago, I was in awe of this street. It is a LONG busy street with so many residences, stores, and restaurants. It is just really fun and fascinating to me. 5) St. Augustine is a short drive away... 6) Ponte Vedra Beach is a really nice area. I would go there more often if the majority of the people wasnt so uppity:mad: I used to work at Starbucks there and I was seriously feeling like I was in hell because of the customers. 7) There will be a huge amount of things to do by the end of the year, cause of the Superbowl. I am a little freaked out cause this city is crowded enough as it is 8) Museum of Science and History (MOSH) 9) The Avenues Mall (there are other malls, but they suck) 10) Alltel Stadium 11) Five Points (It is an area with high class stores) 12) St. Johns River/River Walk 13) Cummer Art Museum (stunning!!!!!) |
I live in the City of new York, and there is absolutely nothing to do here.
Except for world class everything like museums, shows, parks, concerts, sporting events, restaurants, etc. |

Not really much to do in CoMo.
Theres an "ok" mall, a few pretty good bars, crappy clubs... Truthfully... If you're thinking about coming here to DO something, think again |

But i'll have to think about them. |
I live close to DC, where there's lots to do. You can go to the memorials and the museums. I don't know if I'd recommend the zoo though...

I like this thread, because I want to take a lot of trips when I get back to the States next year and this gives me good ideas of stuff to see.
Stuff in Kentucky: *Kentucky Horse Park (near Lexington) *Horse racing season: Going to the Derby, or if not that, then going to any race day at Churchill Downs in Louisville or Keeneland in Lexington. *Mammonth Cave: *I think* the largest limestone cave system in the world. *Kentucky Down Under: a fun place with a bunch of Australian animals and stuff. *Shaker Village at Pleasant Hill: a village where the Shakers used to live, now run as a living history town. I could easily spend an entire day there. |
Prepare for a longish post - as I do live in one of the top tourist destinations in the world... ;)
The Local Mountains: Cypress, Grouse and Seymour - during the winter you can downhill and crosscountry ski, snowboard, toboggan and snowshoe; during the summer - mountain biking, hiking, and the Grouse Grind. The Beaches: starting at UBC, you have Wreck Beach (the nude beach) and Tower Beach (no one really goes here, but has a lookout tower left over from WWII, which made sure the Japanese weren't coming to attack); Spanish Banks; Jericho Beach; Kitsilano Beach; Sunset Beach & English Bay. There's always someone on the beach (no matter the time of year) - there's beach volleyball; swimming; skim boarding; wind surfing; ocean kayaking & canoeing; suntanning; rollerblading; etc. The Sports: If you like hockey, well you're in the right place, we have an NHL team - the Canucks; and a minor league team - WHL - The Giants; we have a CFL team - the BC Lions; a soccer team - The White Caps; a Lacrosse team - the Ravens; and a AAA baseball team - the Canadians. There are a tonne of restaurants: West Coast, Seafood, Chinese, Japanese, British, Vietmanese, Thai, Malaysian, Indian, Afghan, and so on.
