Who would Usama vote for?
 

In the upcoming Presidential elections, who do you think Usama bin Laden would vote for if he could vote? Between Bush and Kerry, who do you honestly think Usama would vote for?

I think he would vote Kerry. What are your opinions? I think the majority of terrorists out there would vote for Kerry.

Usama could give a rat's ass about the presidential election or who he votes for. He only believes in one thing: spreading his misguided and medieval version of fundamental Islam through terror. Democracy doesn't apply to his jihad, only the power coming from the barrel of the gun.

The literal phonetic translation of Bush is bosh in Arabic, which means 'nothing' or 'insignificant'. I have no idea how Kerry phonetically translates into Arabic.

Thats like saying back in 2000 Osama would vote for Bush because the Clinton white house launched missles at him before.

Thats just a cop out trying to scare people into voting for Bush. I agree with AlphaSigOU. Terrorist hate Americans. They could care less who is president.

The scare tactic could work both ways. With war in Iraq, the prison thing, ect... they might vote Bush because he helped create more terrorist than any other pres.

Just a reminder, Bush had done nothing to Al Quida before 9/11 but yet they still attacked us. Just proves they don't care who is president. They don't care which party is in control.

I mean other than the fact your support the Republicans?

I thought that despite some early set backs for Osama, things have been looking good for his Jihad against the West lately. Recruitment numbers are most likely up, the US is now easier to strike at now that they are occupying Iraq, Afghanistan is pretty much forgotten (along with funding) and the Taliban is making inroads again..... and finally better the enemy you know.... rather than an unknown.

You do not have the right to vote in America and often talk about how you're glad you're not American. Please stick to discussing Canadian politics. I'm sure there are 5 other people on the face on this world who might care.

I think it's kind of like living in the suburbs when the election for city mayor/city council takes place.

Poor Canucks, it makes more difference to those folks who is president in the US than who is PM in Canada (or so it would seem). I am proud to not even be able to tell you who the important political parties are over there... Although I seem to remember it's 3?

Actually the US elections are important to us because the current administration is the most disliked in the history of polling in Canada... I believe support (averaged out across the country) is hovering between 12-17%. Because of the multi-cultural make up (not melting pot) people are very concerned about world affairs, and right now the US is having the greatest impact on world affairs (for good or bad) so people are very interested. In the past it was the UK, but now the kid with the big stick is the US so it's wise to keep an eye on him...

Oh.. in case your wondering Kerry wasn't the most popular Democratic candidate up here....

We don't care how you feel. WE VOTE. WE ARE AMERICANS. WE WANT TO BE AMERICANS. We don't, by and large, care to know who runs Canada nor do we care whether you dislike who we vote for to represent us. As for who has world power, the sun set on the UK a long time ago. It is the US. In the future, the power will be shared with powerhouse China. Nowhere in the picture will there be Canada - never was or will be.

Your post provides an example of why many people do not like the US right now.
The whole "We don't care how you feel" and "We don't, by and large, care to know who runs ______ (fill in country)" it is actually that attitude itself that grates on most people in other countries...

Oh and most Canadians don't care to be a "Super-Power"; thats why we disbanded the worlds second largest navy following world war two; declined to make nuclear weapons (although the US left some here in case we ever changed our mind); and threw our support behind the UN, because we laboured under the assumption that world peace benifits everyone... go figure.. and to cut you off, I stopped caring about your views of the UN because quite frankly your bias is thick as a glass of Guinness...

This is a stupid topic for a thread. Osama and other terrorists wouldn't vote because they doesn't believe in democracy.

Again.... why the hell should any American care what Candians think about our Pres? I didn't like that French one y'all had a few years back. But didn't really care enough for it to upset me. Probably because it had no effect on my life whatsoever.

You can come down here and protest though. Probably too expensive considering the exchange rate though.

Which french one? Chreiten or Trudeu (those are the two most recent)? What was wrong with him?

As for protesting... nah.. much cheaper to hang out near the club district in Toronto and watch the people throw stuff at the consulat. Or to protest in Ottawa.. more fun, and less of a walk to the bars afterwards (or to hit the Mess with the Brits). Either which way when there was protesting over Iraq it would have made a nice IFC event... saw more greeks at the protest then I did at Greek Week...

I don't care if others like the US. Those same people that don't like the US are often uneducated morons who served in second class militaries and weren't even officers. That's like me saying I went to Devry or some stupid school and I was in the bottom percentile of my graduating class. The ones that aren't uneducated have their own agendas and their own biases (as well they should).
