100 Years Ago This Week
You wonder if those 11 young women could concentrate on their classes, or even sleep this week!
Did they make their plans saying, "On May 30 we will officially become Alpha Gamma Delta"? Or had they been meeting weekly and realized on May 30, "It's time!" Was May 30 a national holiday in 1904? When did colleges have finals? What did coeds do during the summer? (Before summer jobs, internships, or summer school.) N who continues to marvel at their audacity--while being grateful for it! |
It does make you wonder. :)
We've been talking about Centennial on GC for the last three years...I can't believe that we're only five DAYS away from being 100. This is a very exciting time to be an Alpha Gam! |
May 30, 1904 was a Monday, wasn't it? It's so awesome to be a part of history. Only three more days!

Does anyone have anything special planned for Founders Day? Despite the holiday weekend, about a dozen (maybe more) So Cal Squirrels are getting together for a pool party and BBQ on Sunday. I'm excited to catch up with my sisters, I haven't seen most of them since IRD! :)

I'll wear my Rose Drop.

I will be wearing letters Sunday. I wore letters a couple weeks while shopping for kids' clothes and the cashier asked me about them. She said she thinks her best friend's mom is in the same sorority and she talks about it all the time.
