A TOUGH PRICE TO PAY FOR UNITY; GARY COLE AND TENNIS SENSATION SERENA WILLIAMS GUEST STAR - When the pledgemaster of a hardnosed local fraternity is found murdered and sodimized Detectives Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and Stabler (Christopher Meloni) believe the murder to be the result of the victim's Internet porn sight, which feature unwitting college girls at a local bar. Rerun.

Sidenote: I went to school with Dann Florek's nephews.

So how does the plot resolve itself?

sigtau305 05-25-2004 08:50 PM

I have to check this out.

this episode has been on like four times. two of the brothers are responsible for the pledge's death. it is a pretty graphic and sinister hazing act

i think that is how it went. i cannot completely remember

I love it. The first six minutes, and the fraternity guy is the "secretary of the Panhellenic"!

And the Forensic Scientist's husband was a Alpha Phi Alpha.

yea- i'm watching it right now its a very graphic episode- but i guess the cops got a tau omega ledger from an informant (one of the guys girlfriends) that details everything they do to the pledges- including crazy hazing acts and it shows the guys being ordered around/hazed and forced to drink... its definately a bad look on greek life

The last words were interesting: "It really used to be about brotherhood."

Shame on any fraternity (or sorority) where that isn't true today!!

I hate this episode because of how unreal it seems to me, I don't know one single person who has ever been hazed-especially not in such a heinous way!

I hate how other people watched this episode last night & many nights before & honestly think that all Greek organizations work this way!

I missed this episode...AGAIN!!!!

Grrrrr..thanks to my mum and the stupid Sopranos and that fact that it's supposed to be on at 10 and NOT 9!

EM1843 05-26-2004 09:09 AM

I wouldn't call it completely unreal. Sure the murder cover up is a bit much, but I know of fraternities that have gotten caught doing things similar to what was in the show. I sure everyone wanted to see the "frat" boys be angels who helped old ladies across the street and such, but it was a Law and Order show.
I thought it was pretty good, and they even threw in a few good aspects. I was surprised however that the judge was not a TO, because that would have made for some great plot twists.

First of all I want to let yall know, I love Law & Order! I've seen this episode before, and as I was watching I couldn't help but think one thought. Now I am in no way condoning hazing or saying hazing is good, because I think it is completely awful and in no way a positve brother/sisterhood building experiance, but seriously why would you write it down? Especially something as horrible as they went through, why would you keep a diary of that?

People have documented the heinous acts they committed since the beginning of time.
