Another reason why I'm glad my doctor's a woman
|
Groce. That really gives me the willies.

But couldn't we assume that he transfers it to the button on his jacket too? Or some other article of clothing? If so, it would apply to both men & women doctors.
|
We could assume there's bacteria on all articles of clothing. We could also assume that when we visit our doctors or the hospitals that we are bring in stuff with us.
I don't know about you, but I have never gotten sick from visiting my doctor. I mean I ride the subway every day...imagine how many germs and bacteria are floating around there. The worst I ever caught was a cold. I don't think it's a reason to panic. |
Acutally, one of the largest problems in a hospital is cross infection. Only in recent history have more people come out of hospitals healthy than in caskets. When you put yourself around other sick people, you tend to catch what they have unelss high standards of sanitation and sterilization are kept up.
yea history of medicine! |
The thing about that article that gets me is the fact that they mention that doctors aren't washing their hands as often as they should. HELLO!
