Woman drowns boyfriend´s dog because she was jealous of it
 

KITTERY, Maine — A Portsmouth, N.H., woman, who reportedly didn´t like her boyfriend´s dog, is accused with a girlfriend of faking a robbery, taking the dog and drowning it.

Erin Wylie, 27, and Shannon Walters, 34, of Newmarket, N.H., were accused of breaking into the home of Wylie´s boyfriend in Eliot on Friday night and taking a laptop computer, a camera and the dog.

Police said the women drowned the 2-year-old dachshund.

The women have been charged with burglary and receiving stolen property and may face animal cruelty charges, police said.

Police charged that the women took the dog to Walters´ home, filled a bathtub with water and drowned the dog.

The women were arrested in the parking lot of a restaurant in Kittery. Police alleged they were discussing how to dispose of the remains of the dog. Police said they found the dog´s remains.

They were released on bail and scheduled to appear in court July 29.

This totally made me cry. I own an almost 2-year old mini dachshund and she is the cutest thing. I don't know what kind of person could stand to watch an animal as it was dying, let alone if they were the one killing it. Her punishment should be severe.

I'm not even an animal person (allergic to dogs and cats) and that made me sad.

If she was jealous of a dog, he's better off without her.

I am not sure if she should get jail time, but some meds and counseling would be nice lol.

She may face animal cruelty charges? Ummm, DUH. She better.

At least in Illinois, a conviction of residential burglary results in a prison sentence -- unless the charge is reduced. Aside from that, people who kill or otherwise abuse animals like this should absolutely go to jail.

Some sort of sick "Fatal Attraction" type thing? Ick. Any woman who's jealous of a dog is in serious need of some serious therapy.

I remember a year or so in England a woman apparently told her friend that she had MICROWAVED a kitten. :(

Her friend was horrified and the RSPCA (animal protection charity) was told.

The woman who claimed she was depressed at the time, got three months in jail as a result if I recall correctly.

I hate stories like this.

This stuff kind of makes me think Singapore has criminal punishment right.

Hey, my mother drowned a puppy once. Was trying to teach it how to swim (I think she was around 3-4 years old though).

It does make me think twice about pissing off my girlfriend though.
