Mrs. ___ (Affleck, Pitt, Bloom, etc..) shirts
Okay, here is the thing. I was walking around the mall the other day and I went into the Windsor Outlet store. On display they had these adorable tank tops that said "Mrs. Bloom" on them.
Now, Orlando Bloom is a total hottie, so I'm tempted to go back and buy this tank top but I was wondering if anyone has ever seen another store or possibly a website where you can get other merchandise that states other Mrs. so and so on them. I have seen shirts that have said Mrs. Pitt and Mrs. Affleck and I'm all about the latter. LOL. If not, which shirts would you want? Right now I would like the following: Mrs. Bloom Mrs. Affleck Mrs. Eads (George Eads from CSI. He is such a HOTTIE!!!) Mrs. Vartan (I think he gets cuter each Alias episode) |
I just think it's a TAD bit on the side of desperation. While it may not be the intention of most, it definitely reeks of, "I need a man... Any man... I'll even lucidly ponder the minute possibility of hooking up with a star." ;)
It's the equivilant (sp?) of wearing an, "I love Justin Timberlake" or an, " I love Jordan Knight..." I think grown women should stay away form these ridiculous shirts... No matter HOW cute a star is, don't place his name on your t-shirt... ;) |
put the shirt down and step away slowly....
(however brad pitt is mine if him and jen ever divorce) |
I think you know what I'm going to say...
GHEY! REALLY THOUGH! Unless you're between the ages of 14 and 17, please don't do it! |
Hell, i would say even a 14-17 year old shouldn't wear such a shirt.
Kinda tacky, too..... |
there is a 'mrs. timberlake' shirt.
|
I saw a "Mrs Timberlake" purse in a store the other day, and I was so tempted to buy it...then I remembered how old I was. :D

So because I think the shirt is cute I am now desperate for a man? I've seen pictures in people magazine with other famous people, famous adults I might add, wearing shirts like this, so are they desperate? I'm comfortable enough with my life to not need a man in it, I'm not J Lo. And as for the shirt, if I want to buy one, I'm certainly not going to explain to people why I bought a cute shirt, especially if they can't see the humor behind the shirt. |

A girl I went to high school with had about 3 Pierce Brosnan/Remington Steele t-shirts she wore CONSTANTLY - may I add that these were handmade shirts. Everybody just looked at her like "wtf?"
Unless this is for a tacky tourist theme mixer, JUST SAY HAYULL NO. |

If I saw someone even a celebrity wearing one of those shirts I would stand back and laugh at their lameness... But, what celebrities wear and what normal people should wear are different matters. Lara Flynn Boyle can wear a pink tutu, but I don't think any normal woman should. I'm sorry you are so offended by my response. But, you did ask which shirts like these would people buy. I wouldn't buy any of them. Lighten up -- it's a T-Shirt! |

Here's the reason I was offended...
I don't think any woman is desperate because of a peice of clothing that she wears. And by inferring that women who wear these types of shirts are offends me. I started this thread for fun, to see what other women "would" buy "if they felt like it", not for another member to call women desperate. I respect your opinion, it did just slightly offend me and I know you didn't intend for that to happen. :) I just felt I should let you know why it offended me. |
I have a shirt that says "I partied with Justin". And I bought it because:
1. it was on clearence for $5 2. my cousins name is Justin, he goes to my college, and I always party with him. I wear it when I'm at a party with my cousin. Though now that I've graduated, I'm putting it in the "running t-shirt" pile. It was a fun shirt, and it served its purpose. But I wouldn't think about wearing around town or anything like that. |
