i came across this site- rushlink.com and i was wondering if anyone knew about it and/or had used it-

i'm actually pretty interested in the idea behind it- and i feel that my chapter could use this- but i don't want to be ripped off-

Ole Miss (The University of Mississippi) uses ICS Recruiter. This past year was the first and it was awesome! It was great because the VP of Membership Recruitment and MIF chair could go online and print the fact sheets about each PNM. These sheets had their name, hometown, legacy information if they provided that, highschool, GPA if they provided it, activites in highschool, and if they had gone through recruitment before at Ole Miss or at another university. Then for each party all of the invitations were done through their program and each sorority gets a different password to view their stats on their returns to each party. I know as an advisor I enjoyed it this because it was great to be able to give our nationals a pretty darn accuarte number on our returns after each party. We also could make our bid day lists online and that was so much easier then the old way of using scantrons. Anyway, I recommend ICS Recruiter 100%! They even came and did a training for advisors, presidents, and VP of Membership Recruitments before recruitment so everyone knew about the system.

I can see how it could be useful if you have 1000+ pnm's going through rush that are hard to keep track of, and the budget management part looks ok. However, I wonder how well it would actually work with a chapter. I can see the comments on a pnm turning into a big issue.

wow- yea well my school definately is not that big- so maybe it wouldn't be worth it- but i always feel like it so difficult to get my chapter together and to get us all to talk to each other... i think we need tony robbins or something lol

yea- the pnm info might be a problem- but the pnm's wouldn't get to see it- but its still on the site- and could be a liability

comments with the chapter? Well that is taken care of with Membership Selection meetings sororities have...I know most have an adjective list they must stick too...anyway, Ole Miss had about 900+ PNMs this past fall and they are expecting 1000...these rush tools are so helpful from an adivser standpoint and I know our collegiate members love it as well. Also, it is very easy to register for recruitment online this way too, and they can even pay online! I know it costs tons of money, but it is well worth the money.

ETA: The PNM can not access the site to view other PNMs going through recruitment, only certain officers and adivser have access and then you can print what you want the chapter to see and put it in your Potential New Member Binder with pictures....

My school has a very small greek population... but has grown in the past few years and we're looking for a way to help keep track of all the women short of having our volunteer advisors have to stay up will 1 am every night of rush and do Panhellenic stuff during their day job in order to keep track of who attended which rounds of parties... but our Panhell voted it down... I think mainly becuase of the cost and becuase they felt girls at our school woudln't take the time to sign up on line.
