Frat Boy Rivalry

Two rival fraternities breaking each other's house windows. Wow sounds REAL COOL!

And I used the word frat because this type of behavior doesn't deserve the word fraternity.

Couldn't agree more.

What a wonderful way to give fraternities even worse reputations. A real group of children.

BTW Someone named Tom Krell was quoted in the report. I had (have?) a Delt Brother with that name. It's not that common. Wonder if it's the same guy. I haven't seen him since about 1968.

Unfortunatly this is not the only incident of this happening!:(

Has happened at my Alma Mater recently also!

More on the damage to the ATO house at the U of Michigan -- estimated $10,000 worth. ATO apparently will seek payment for the damage from the guy who allegedly did it.

I do have to agree with those who say this kind of thing doesn't help the Greek -- or at least fraternity -- image at Michigan. In fact this has just not been a great year for Greeks' image there. Unfortunate, especially since Michigan (large, well-known, tough to get into) is such a visible campus.

two fraternities in particular have a very harsh rivalry going on- i really hate it b/c its hard to hang out with one crowd- or the other- and my best friend and big bro is in one- but our brother fraternity is the other- it sucks... :(

there have been major fights- house damage etc

two different fraternities were also involved in a major incident a few years ago- i think when i was a freshman- one brother was at a party at the others house- and he "fell" off a balcony and was beaten to death.... there are a lot of implications- but no real ideas as to what happened.... its really sad :(

our greek community is pretty small- so rivalries between fraternities AND sororities are very common

when i was at OSU i'd say we had a rivalry with the Phi Delts who lived next to us but we never broke stuff or got into fights. its just we were always wanting to beat each other at IMs and such and we were always going after the same guys for rush cause we really are the same type of guys.

But that went to far and makes us all look bad.

moe.ron 06-15-2004 05:30 AM

Guess they think it's cool to break stuff.
