http://members.blackplanet.com/000curlyhairkid Poor Child...but I do feel kind of sad for him. I just read his story and I must honestly admit...I met a mistake from the planet myself. |
i am going to sound really crass but.... I was laughing my azz off from the moment i started reading...
we have all been through something similar... what he went through was a test of the human spirit, and he failed. Granted he is picking up the pieces, but somebody dropped the ball along the way, helping that boy develop a SELF-esteem that would help him through times such as those he spoke of. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/frown.gif He sounded pretty conceited before and after the ordeal, like he had a lot of false pride. False-pride gets you knowwhere at all. I feel badly for him, but I am definitely happy that he is seeking counseling and some sort of therapy (his book) to get through. I don't want him down in TX shooting up the place, my girl SweetestDiva is down there. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/mad.gif Maybe the curlyhairkid CAN be a man one day. But only as soon as he gets over this and grows up. Hell, i started reading and swore I was about to read about some chick who took all of his possessions, trashed his car, shot up his house, tormented his parents and car jacked his grandma... Sheesh. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/rolleyes.gif But I do like the music that plays during your reading... I would like to have that track. Does anyone know what it is? ------------------ "Success usually comes to those who are too busy to be looking for it." To be honest, when I read this I was like...WTF. I'm not sure I understand how he got that wrapped up in someone to the point where he failed all his classes. Come on now, he's 21 and in the prime of his life. Ok maybe I'm not being sensative to the situation. So can someone help me out?
I'm not saying that I don't understand that he got hurt, but damn like that!! ------------------ ...and like that I'm gone!! KL [This message has been edited by kiml122 (edited August 07, 2001).] [This message has been edited by kiml122 (edited August 07, 2001).] |
This man is pitiful. What a sorry somebody? Novella was right...we've all been hurt. It's how you get over it that makes you special. So pardon me, if I can't empathize or sympathize with his bytchin and moaning. He just a waste of internet space. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/rolleyes.gif

I don't feel sorry for him! In fact, I find him very pathetic. I would never jeapordize my entire life like that for anyone. I mean this guy failed all 8 of his classes, lost his scholarship, stressed himself out so much to the point where he now has hypertension, had to have surgury for a stomach ulser, lost 30-40lbs,etc. Honestly, I think this child had some issues going on before he met this "person" as he referrs to her. Some people are just like that though they have needy personalities I guess and are extremely sensitive.

This whole situation makes me wanna laugh all ignorant like.
I'm sorry, I find this whole thing WAY funny. Maybe I'm hard hearted but... I don't get his purpose for putting this out there. Everybody knows that love is a battlefield. What, was he supposed to be immune to getting dogged? I think not. |

You too! I thought whoever he was speaking of ran off with all his money, and did the complete fool on him! It is hard for me to feel sorry for him because we all have been through some sort of heartbreak. He just needs to move on and get over it. Was it just me or did someone else think that he could be possibly talking about a man? [This message has been edited by HopefulProspective (edited August 07, 2001).] |
he just sounds like a very very immature kid that got his feelings hurt

I don't feel sorry for him, because maybe this situation was what he needed to "grow up"-meaning that from what I read, before meeting "Miss X", he hadn't really experienced any hardships in life. Now that he's had his perfect world shattered he sees that life isn't a peach.
Maybe his intentions of putting his story on the net were to warn others about the dangers of online dating, but to me it was just a cry for others to join his pity party. ------------------ "Mind ya own, stay true to ya own, be ya own." Peace and God Bless *Classy_Diva5* |
Yes, I do feel bad for the man... he has been hurt by love. Being 21 myself (and a Computer Science major) I feel his pain... We all have been in love before but not had it given back to us. But his approach to healing himself is all wrong... What he needs is real love from a real woman who won't string him and lead him on. He also needs to look up love in the life dictionary (Also Known As the Bible)
1 Corinthians 13:4-8 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. This is what true love is. If a person cannot demonstrate these qualities to you, and they tell you they love you... well they are pulling your chain http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif True love is experienced by the actions of your partner... love is not an emotion per se. You must show love, not feel it. I prayed and asked the Lord if he could work in Mr. Curly's http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif life and heal his heart, and help him love again, because without love, there is no hope. ------------------ In complete darkness we are all the same... It is only our knowledge and wisdom that separates us... Don't let your eyes deceive you Janet Jackson |

I figured he was talking about a man as well. The Curlyhairedkid wasn't a "good man" as he asserts...he was an overly sensitive one at best, a stupid one at worst. |
