Founders/Colonists
 

I just wanted to check how many other fraternity chapter founders are on GC. Our groups is up to twenty four members and we are scheduled to be officially recognized by this Summer and hold our first rush this Fall. Anyways I just wanted to get in contact with some other founders and discuss a few of the finer points of founding fraternities.

Founding member of the Mu Tau Chapter of Sigma Nu, Chapter #272. My badge # is 5. That makes me MTV (roman numeral 5).

Served as VP when we actually sent off the petition for charter (had a role in getting that bad boy together) and I was serving as treasurer when we were granted our charter.

Good times. Wouldn't trade 'em for anything. Helping found a chapter taught me more than I learned in school in many ways.

Founded BX our Local in Fall Sem. of 1965. We lasted until Spring Sem. May 1966 when we affiliated with LXA.

To say I learned more by doing this than my 7 years in College is an understatement!:D

One of the most rewarding times of my life, starting a local and still working with and meeting new young men while still seeing my Older Brothers.

You have to admire anyone who help Found a New Organization as it is a lot of hard word, Frustrating and Rewarding at the same time!:cool:

Any advice for a group that is preparing to conduct its first rush, with very little word of us on campus we are going to have to work to attract a quality group obviously, how did you all do it?
