Have you ever tried this product thread

This thread will be for anyone to ask has anyone used a specific product and could give their opinion about the product.

I keep seeing the commercials for the Beautiful Brunette products and I was wondering if anyone has tried this new line yet?

Let me know because I was thinking of buying the shampoo, condition, etc. Are the products worth the money?

I've used sheer blonde which I would assume is the same as beautiful brunette. IT works great (I have the shampoo, conditioner, sea spray, and dream creme) but none of it smells very good so I always mist something into my hair after I use it.

They're also all on sale at Target this week.

I was wondering if anyone has tried or know of anyone who has tried that 6 week body make over thingy from that infomercial. I dont need it, but my mother is morbidly obese. If i knew it worked, I'd like to get it for her(she couldnt afford to buy it herself), but I want to make sure that it works before I spend that kind of money, regardless of a money back guarantee.

Annice22 and GP: what exactly are the sheer blonde and beautiful brunette products supposed to do? Are they supposed to enhance your color or something? I'm a brunette with blond highlights/streaks in my hair so I dont know if I could use either presently.......

I use the Brilliante Brunette conditioner and gel. I love the conditioner! Buy it! The gel is pretty average, though it does make your hair nice and shiny.

I haven't heard anything about the Beautiful Brunette products but a friend of mine uses the Sheer Blonde products and says they are amazing. The shampoos are supposed to brighten your natural highlights and colors.

ThetaPrincess- I'm also wondering the same thing about color treated hair. Naturally, I have light brown to dark blonde hair but I put blonde highlights/streaks in my hair. Does the Sheer Blonde lighten color treated hair? It would be great if it does since my highlights will start looking a little brassy if I go too long between hair appointments.

It doesn't change or alter your hair color. It just makes it shiny. That's all. As far as I can tell it's safe for colour treated hair.

Has anyone used the new products for curly hair called Curl Matrix (I think)? I've been wondering if it's any good.

if it works as good as their straightening line, I would say go for it. My stylist recommended it to me because i have natural waves. But i straighten my hair so there isn't really a need for it.
I also like their volumizing line.

I have also wondered about the brilliant brunette line. I have massive color treatment damage so i am waiting til my roots grow out more to start using it. It didn't say anything about safe for color treated so I don't want to risk it yet.

I have dark brown hair that has tons and tons of blonde highlights in it. I started using the Sheer Blonde stuff last semester and I looooove it. It makes my highlights really stand out and look extra blonde. Plus the sea spray stuff smells SOOOOO good, like coconut tanning oil (I am a sucker for that) and it gives great texture to my hair.

Thanks I think I will go out and buy some of the products for beautiful brunette. My brown hair needs a brightner or some shine added to it.

For ThetaPrincess24 about the 6 week excerse program I would make sure your mom doctor okay the program before you buy it first. In general I think most of the workout programs probably work because they are giving you a guideline to shape your body.

Your mom will have to reduce her calorie intake, do cardio, and lift weights. She can also so do that with out spending alot of money. A walking program is good for beginners because there is less stress on the heart and body.

Sheer Blonde is also supposed to stop highlights from changing color from sun exposure... so they don't start too look that lovely shade of brass after a while.

I just stopped using the clinque 3 step facial care system and I'm trying the Aveeno skin brightening line, I have to say I think it's working very well.

I have always wondered about that sea spray stuff. I see it advertised or mentioned in Cosmo and whatnot. I have really fine hair and I know it looks kinda funky when I hang out at the beach all day. So I am not sure if it's the best look for me. What does it do to your hair exactly?

My mom already reduces her calorie intake(probably too much) it doenst work for her because her metabolism is shot. She also cant do heavy cardio or a walking routine. She has almost no cartilage in her knees, so it's bone on bone for the most part. She has trouble just getting around her apartment. She also has a touch of rheumatoid arthritis and a whole host of other medical problems due to her morbid obesity. I though the body makeover program migth work for her because the exercises from teh infomercial are seated and are only done for like 15 minutes twice a week, and you come up with some kind of blueprint for your specific body type and metabolism needs. She has no insurance so gastric bypass and the other weightloss surgeries are out of the question. Before she can do any kind of cardio or walking really some of the weight has to come off to relieve the pressure in her knees.

I feel really sad. I hope your moms health improves. She should be very happy that she has a daughter who cares so much for her.

Since I have not seen the commercial for the program from what you said it may help out a lot. I'm not sure if you have this channel but they show an excercise program where they workout in chairs. I'm not sure but I think it's on PBS.
