biggest and best scene in Southern California
Out of curiosity, which Southern California university has the biggest fraternity houses and the best Greek Like?
|
USC or UCLA.... which are basically the two biggest universities in general in SO Cal. I *think* USC is a *bit* bigger numbers wise... but I'm not positive

SDSU would be third I believe.

Now, I only know sorority numbers but I believe that USC's house total is 185 or something close to whereas UCLA is 115. However, UCLA has 11 chapters and USC has 9. As for fraternities, I would estimate believe USC has more houses but I would say that UCLA's fraternities tend to be more equally balanced number wise, meaning not as extreme with lots of very small chapters competing with a few very large chapters.
I could be wrong so don't quote me... |
The rankings in the previous posts are definitely right (USC, UCLA, then SDSU; and that's coming from a Trojan that grew up in San DIego). USC has about 17 fraternities w/ average membership around 60-70 but ranging from about 15 to 100, and our Greek Houses are all clustered on 28th St., "The ROw", making for the best big party nights in SoCal.
Fight on Trojans!! |
We are small in Long Beach. I want to say that being small sucks but I like having a small chapter (app 60 ladies) b/c I get a chance to develop significant relationships with almost all of them rather than just acquaintances. I do wish our Grees system were stronger and that Long Beach wasn't so anti-Greek.
