Hey, Peeps....

What is the most ridiculous paraphernalia, gidgets, gizmos, products of an organization that you have ever seen?

The name of the organization is not important, therefore, don't mention the name. Vendors make this stuff for ALL organizations, using ONE model. So you most likely can find it for ALL of the organizations. It's all about the $$$$, baby.

We all know that we have a choice to buy this, just like they have to choice to make this stuff. I don't want this to turn into something SOOOOOO "heated". I simply want to know what you have seen out there, PERIOD!

(You know I have to clarify from the get-go!)

ANYONE can post.

Greetings to the Ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha. I guess I will start this one off. I remember when I saw a bra/thong set with the letters and the CREST on both!!! I was OUTRAGED!!!! The nerve of some venders!!! I could not believe my eyes http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/eek.gif But the sad part about this is when I asked him have any one purchased these items he said YES http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/eek.gif
I just assumed it was probably someone who was a friend of someone who was greek b/c I couldn't see anyone (AKA, Delta, ZphiB, or SGRho) purchasing items like that!!!

These big, plastic dangling earrings in the sorority's mascot!

I didn't know sorority's had mascots.
The tackiest thing I have ever seen was a a pair of sweatpants with the Greek letters in on the butt. (Too foul).

Girl, at least that site is always good for a laugh! Every time I see that lamp with the prostitute-looking woman in every sorority's colors I SHUDDER.

lovelyivy84 08-01-2001 08:23 AM

Razors that had the sorority's letters on them.

FUTURE XYZ shirts in adult sizes!!!!!

And lol, when I was a neo, I bought a pink and green cane! THe vendor had them in all of the sorority's colors and with letters on.

I just shake my head- why the heck did I buy that? What exactly will I ever do with an AKA cane??? Oh well, neo fever.
