Woohoo, I'm Officially a 'Yote!

Well, i'll always be an Aggie first, but today i officially became a USouth Dakota Coyote.

I got my Student ID, email address, all my work study paperwork and my fall schedule picked out. I'm all set to head off to Eastern SD this summer to start work on my PE teaching degree. I'm going to minor in Spanish and Special Ed probably.

This year on the rez i've discovered that what i truly want to do is coach and be around kids. A lot of my hours from A&M are going to count for my core classes, so i should be able to knock out another bachelor's with 2 minors in about 2 and a half years.

I can't wait.

No, that's our rivals, the SDSU Jackrabbits. They just jumped from D2 to D1 in football. I don't think they're going 1A, i think they're gonna stay 1-AA.

It was kinda a big deal, cuz we're staying at D2 and we might not be able to play our rivalry game with them every year. Their athletic department said they'd try to get us on the schedule, but weren't making any promises.

I'm really excited, because i'm going to do work study there this summer. I'd love to get involved with our football program now, and maybe work up to a GA after i get my degree.

Jeeez.

So, here i am, typing this from a lab on the USD campus.

Moved into the SNu house last night. Its's pretty empty for the summer, there's only me and a couple other guys living in it.

I'm not gonna lie, it feels kinda weird to be back on a college campus. I know i only spent a year out, but after i walked the stage at A&M i had kinda resigned myself to the fact that i was done with school.

Tomorrow i start my work study, a summer program called the National Youth Sports Program.

Alas, my internet connection at the house isn't fully operational yet, so my GC time will be cut down significantly. Well, maybe that's a good thing.

Later y'all,

We have NYSP on campus here in the summers, it's a great program for the kids.

Oh she lives on da Up eh? They are the Wildcats up that way. I met some at our National Get-together and they stayed with the PACNW people. Wild was a good description for writing legislation while doing shots for sure.

People who live below "the bridge" are called Trolls.

As for being an Aggie and now a 'Yote, don't you feel a conflict of interest? Wouldn't an Aggie chase and shoot coyotes to get off their land?

Have fun in Vermillion, better a 'Yote than a jackrabbit!
