Demise of Indiana-Eta

Sorry for the board-crash, but I just wanted to let you all know that the Indiana Eta chapter at IPFW has closed down as of last sunday. Although they've been our "long-time rivals" ::chuckles b/c we've been friends since I've joined:: it is indeed a loss to an already small greek system and to our campus with the loss of such incredible women.

Greek Love and Mine,
Mandie

Very sad news for the girls, campus and greek system!

:( I am sorry to hear this! I hope our sisters at Indiana Eta keep their chins up!

This is very sad.
To reiterate breathesgelatin's sentements, keep smiling ladies of Indiana Eta.

This is a shame because I know their chapter had contacted ours to help them over the summer with a recruitment workshop.

I was looking forward to helping out these women. Hopefully they find strength within each other and they are still proudly wearing their letters!

PPL to the ladies of IN Eta,
Jess

I hear about this as well. They had low numbers. :( I was very sad to hear about this. I still love my IN H sisters!!

There only two NPC chapters on IPFW's campus? If we leave, that will mean there is only one..

Delta Gamma (according to their website, thay have a chapter of 25).

According to our roll call we had about the same number...

Why would we close due to numbers? If there is only two NPC chapters on campus and both are under 30 members?

Maybe dakareng knows that answer (please fell fre to PM me if this issue should be private).

This is not something I can discuss in an open forum out of respect for the members and alumnae of Indiana Eta. They have worked hard and struggled for some time but ultimately made the decision to relinquish their charter. Their banner will forever be in our parade (a Convention tradition for those who have been there) and they will be in our hearts even if not an active chapter.

There was a whole long thread about restarting the NPC system at IPFW, and at the time the aformentioned poster made it sound like they were forced to choose a sorority to be an interest group of because the school didn't necessarily know what they were doing in regards to interest groups and colonizations. Apparently that has changed now, or else they liked Pi Phi enough to stick with them:confused:
