Friendship, love, and loyalty?
 

I've seen "friendship, love, and loyalty" mentioned as AGD's unofficial open motto a couple of times (either on this board or some chapter's website).

Is that an official-unofficial open motto? That is, did it come from IHQ? Or a chapter come up with it and others copy?

We sang that opening song during Rush every year! Alpha Gam doesn't have an official open motto, correct? I've always assumed that our Purpose is how we are known.

It hasn't been any of our slogans since I've been around. Perhaps it was at one time, like "Alpha Gam Always" and "Surrounded by Sisterhood" or "Inspire the Woman, Impact the World".

Thanks alot Sandy, now I have that song going through my head... it is like the song that never ends... it just goes on and on my friends... Sandy started singing it, not knowing what it was, and now we'll all continue singing it forever just be cause...

Funny story... when I was just starting in AGD, the day after we learned the hymn... I was in the shower and the song just came from no where.... I sang it for 24 hours... YAHHHHHHH

that's what we used for open house during rush.. uughhh it was horriblel.. over and over and over and over for three long days. and now it's in my head again, as well! i'm going to bust out with it tomorrow in the middle of IRD!!
