Courteney Cox Arquette

I don't this person obviously but I heard on the radion this morning that she suffered a miscarriage. And, if I'm not mistaken she was pretty fall along in her pregnancy. And has had a really tough time staying pregnant but this one looked like it would "stick."

And now she had a miscarriage.

My heart goes out to her.

Hasn't she been pregnant for a long time? A late term miscarriage is especially bad. I feel just awful for her. :(

mu_agd 04-15-2004 09:44 AM

where did you actually hear it? right now, i wouldn't believe it unless it's from a pretty credible source. especially since i checked around on a few websites and there is nothing posted about it. i would think with someone with her celebrity, pretty late in the pregnancy, there would be stories if she miscarried.

however, if it is true, my thoughts go out to her and David. they've been trying so long for it and it looked like they would finally have it happen.

Supposedly she's already had a few miscarriages. Either way, it's a horrible experience for anyone to endure.

The only news of that sort I heard about was from the cover of one of the tabloids I saw at the grocery check out.

I saw that e show too. I think she's supposed to be on the cover of two magazines. I hope she didn't have a miscarriage. My thoughts are with her and dave if she did.

Isn't she due in July? She would be closer to 6-7 months pregnant and nearing the third trimester. Not to say that miscarriages don't happen this late in pregnancies but the chance is much lower and, if it is noticed in time, the baby has a better chance for survival.

aabby757 04-15-2004 10:53 AM

I heard it from my radio station and they put it in the news category instead of the hollywood gossip section.

I think it's so very sad.

What I heard was a bit more specific: She had a miscarriage. BUT, she was pregnant with twins and only lost ONE of them.

(Yes, this is possible. My biological little sister had a twin that died before she was born. The twins just have to be in two different amniotic sacs.)

I cannot confirm this as 100% true, but it has been the topic of much discussion on the pregnancy chat room I visit.

WCUgirl 04-15-2004 11:20 AM

That's still very sad to hear, but good to hear that one survived and still has a chance.

dzsaigirl 04-15-2004 07:31 PM

This happened in the first trimester...she is already in her third. And this is more common than most people realize. I think she was going through fertility treatments and that is how she ended up with twins anyway. The reason they put more than one in is for this reason. If one doesn't take, another might.

ISUKappa 04-15-2004 08:08 PM

And many people have what's called "Vanishing Twin Syndrome" where the second embryo is lost so early on in the pregnancy, they didn't even know they were pg with twins.

I hope and pray she is doing alright. I love her and David.
