Restriction of Free SPeech
 

I got a PM today about how the FCC is trying to restrict free speech. I'm just going to post it pretty much word for word for you all to read and hopefully sign the petition. It's really getting more and more Orwellian out there, y'all....keep your eyes open and keep reading between the lines!

Hey so the FCC is moving to heavily restrict free speech.

One company owns half of the radio market.

The FCC has refused to define what decency means and refuses to give anybody a fair trial to prove their innocence.

Even if you don't agree with material being censored like the Howard Stern program, you have to worry about how far this will go.

Change the channel. Now, for the record, I loathe Howard Stern. So I don't listen. It just kills me that people's inability to behave like adults leads to all this.

I think there is a limit to free speech and I agree that some things need to be banned - like the thing w/Janet. I suggest that TV programs be rated just like movies. I want to know if folk are showing stuff that I don't want my kids - well - my Brother's kids - to see. I certainly did not want them to see Janet - - although, I would have gone into my den for the viewing.
