Chandra Levy, have you SEEN her?
This story is getting more and more bizarre by the moment. What's really going on? If you don't know, read this regarding the missing intern and the latest events...

I've been following this and the story just gets more and more eery.
Well, in a few weeks, when they finally get to the proverbial "bottom" of this, we'll see it on my show, Law and Order. |
I'm from DC and you are right this gets more bizarre by the day. My take is that the Congressman was messing around with Chandra even though he's married(like that has ever stopped anyone). I hate how he's so tight lipped about it. He should just fess up to it unless he had something to do with her disappearance. Which I believe he did. Did you hear the parents got the lawyer who represents Monica Lewinsky's mom? They should have gotten Johnny Cochran.

This whole story is reminiscent of the Anne Marie Fahey incident in Delaware. She worked for the governor and was involved with a high profile attorney, Tom Capano. He was convicted of killing her and dumping the body at sea. She was supposedly kiled to cover up the affair from his wife.

Here's my take on the situation. She's in love with the politician. He's not in love with her and doesn't want her cause he's married. Maybe they were friends, but not lovers. (Clue #1) She's dropped a hint to a relative about being involved, but not to her parents. Why not even mention a love interest to your parents? (Clue #2) My conclusion: girlfriend is hiding out somewhere. She wants a man that doesn't want her, so she'll make it known that something is going on and disappear to make it look like he had something to do with it. Why does she think it will work? Because it's the classic story line: dirty politician has a mistress, doesn't want to it be known, mistress disappears and politician is prime suspect. My theory: She's crazy. I'm not going to believe that the "innocent" parties are innocent and the "guilty" parties are really guilty.

I live right outside DC and can tell you as a former law enforcement officer something does not smell right about this case.
This woman had finished her internship at the Dept. of Justice and was all packed and ready to relocate back to the west coast to live and to recieve her graduate degree. How many people to you know who don't show up for their own graduation? Congressman Condit's (sp) behavior is definitely shaky. I believe that there was more to their relationship than them being "just good friends" as he characterized it. I read somewhere that Chandra's mother discovered her cell phone bill and a number that belonged to the Congressman was on there quite a few times. Why would she be calling him like that? Only time will tell but my gut tells me that she's dead and he (the Congressman) did it. |
I think that she and the Congressman definately had something going on. But I don't think he's behind her disappearance. I think they need to check out the Congressman's wife. She may be acting like she didn't know anything about it, but I bet she does. Maybe she hired someone to do something to this girl!

I think he definitely had something to do with her "disappearance" which is why he is being so tight-lipped about it. There are some extremely corrupt politicians out there. I think they were having an affair and then she came up pregnant but didn't want to abort the baby. So, I think he had her killed. I mean, honestly, do you think Monica Lewinsky would still be alive if Linda Tripp didn't get the info out there before Clinton's thugs (yes I said thugs) had a chance to cover it up? Things that make you go hmmmm....
|
I don't know why, but ever since I heard about this situation, I've had the feeling that this girl is somewhere pregnant and dead. All at the hands of Mr.Congressman!!! I sincerely hope that my hunch is way off base, but I can just see it so clearly in my head. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/eek.gif

I live close to the DC area and I agree with many of the comments posted so far. I always wondered why someone who had finished an internship and needed to head home for graduation did not have any bags packed (police and family could not find any packed bags)? And was there not a question as to whether she had actually purchased her plane ticket? This is all very sad and in a place so full of interns looking to make "connections", I truly hope this is a bizarre and isolated incident.

You've got good taste http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/wink.gif I hope they find her; I'm sure her family is suffering b/c the police continue to regard her disappearence as a "missing person"--not as a case involving foul play, which I think it is... My heart and prayers go out to her family...they deserve some closure to this. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/frown.gif [This message has been edited by Sugar_N_Spice (edited June 22, 2001).] |
Dag, they still haven't found her? This is really something. It's been on e'ry station e'ry night in the DC area for a while!
Not to be morbid or anything, but I think she's floating in the Anacostia River. |
It's sad to say, and God forbid me being correct about the issue, but I agree with Imperial11...

With the latest developments since we last posted here, what is your take on the case now?
