Alpha gam in the news

There is a magazine insert in our school paper, "Sports Illustrated on Campus," with a girl on the cover named Corey Bitzer. There is an article inside about her Pgs 16-19, calling her "the greatest living intramural athlete." Well, I decided to read the article, and voila, it talks about her sorority, ALPHA GAMMA DELTA at the University of Indiana. How cool!

Corey is from my chapter (Beta Delta, Indiana University), she is awesome! She is the sweetest girl ever and is so humble too...she is our best rider for our Little 500 team (for those of you that don't know, it's a bike race at IU, a HUGE deal, the movie "Breaking Away" is all about it). She broke several records at Individual Time Trials and Qualifications. The Alpha Gam team broke the all-time track record at Qualifications this year too...unfortunately, Kappa qualed a little later and beat us by a few tenths of a second, but we still did AWESOME. We will start the race 2nd out of 30 (i think?) teams and are considered one of the top women's teams on campus. She also was the Activities Coordinator for our chapter and, as the article says, is incredibly involved in intramurals.
Here's an article about her from the Indianapolis Star-

sorry if I rambled, but we're all just really proud of her!

In her 4 years, Corey has competed in 39 IM events, won 13 championships, and was IU's female IM athlete of the year as a junior. She had never biked competitevely before but as a freshman she became her teams best rider. Last month the Alpha Gamma Delta cycling squad broke a 15 yr old record in the qualifying trial and will be one of the favorites in the women's race on April 23.

The article is really good and mentions Alpha Gamma Delta A LOT.
