The National Dean's List?
Mmmkay so I got this letter from them, saying that I have been selected to "one of the highest academic honors that can be bestowed on college students"...but considering that my gpa is less than impressive, I can't imagine what their interest in me is. It seems like the Who's Who books (which I was in during high school) but I'm guessing they just want my money. Does anyone else know how reputable these people are? Should I tell my mom and have her cry tears of pride (lol) or just let it go?

Let it go...... If you know that your gpa is less then stellar then they probably just want your money which is sad and very decieving. I recieved one of those letters and my gpa is not a the requisite 3.5 that most honor society's require so I knew that they just wanted my money.
If you or anyone else recieves another one of these letters, you could call your states Better Business Comission. and find out if they have done this before or if any complaints have been levied against them. I'm sorry that this happened to you.....Good luck and don't stress about your gpa, it does not define the person that you are or will become in the future. |
don't waste your money, it's just a money maker.
honestly, it's just another random "honor society" type thing that really doesn't mean (or do!) anything other than a meaningless line crowding your resume. |
It is like the Who's Who. I didn't get a book in my freshman year.
