I'd be curious to see where they get their data from! It's a shame that no one ever focuses on the many positive things Greeks do, including the fact that we give more philanthropically than non-Greeks!

the excerpt from the book that was in april's teen vogue mentioned alpha gam. they recalled an incident from the early 70's that i had never heard of. it's a shame that it's being brought up again when the fraternity has already dealt with it and moved on, if it is an actual event.

I didn't read it though - what happened?


I know that 20 years ago or so my chapter used to haze - but it's so different now it's crazy.

Some of the Alumnae came back in the fall (when I was a new member) and asked me about certain stuff that I had never heard of, and that the current sisters didn't have any idea about either. I talked to our advisor about it and she said the last time she had to crack down on our chapter about ANYTHING, including hazing, was about 10 years ago.
