What should I wear for our decades party tomorrow?!
 

hey everyone... My sorority is having a social with a frat on campus tomorrow ( thursday) and the theme is "decades". Everone is supposed to dress up as their fav. decade. I want to do the 80's, but does anyone have any style ideas that will help me achieve that look! Please help!!!!!!!!!!! :)

hmm...all I can think of is leg warmers, lol.

Poofy hair.
Big shoulderpads, such as you see in Dynasty.
Scrunchies.
Neon colors.

(I was in college in the 1980s. I remember seeing people across the campus in this.)

You can dress like Flashdance with the leg warmers and cut off-the-shoulder sweatshirt.

Ooh - for 80s you can do the different colored socks! I used to wear 2 on each foot...and they were all different colors coordinating with my outfit.

Crimp your hair, do really bright make up. Lots of it. Oh and lots and lots of hairspray.

Madonna from her Material Girl or Like a Virgin phase.

When we had an 80's party, I dressed up as Tom Cruise from "Risky Business." I wore a white button-down, Ray-Bans, and socks. :cool:

That is so creative! I would have never thought of doing that! I don't think many girls would have. :)

We had a whole 80's themed event (80's Rollerskating), with our pledges. You just gotta go to a thift store and look around. My sister wore spandex with neon stuff. Some girls did Flashdance type stuff, leg warmers, chunky plastic jewelry (it's everywhere recently), lacy Madonna look, teased hair, crimped hair, acid washed jeans, tshirts from the 80's, blue eyeshadow, I could go on and on.
