Moral Dilemma
 

I HAVE A HUGE PROBLEM!!!

I have recentyl met two new girls who want to COB a sorority at our school. They are both great girls who would be assets to any sorority. My sorority needs girls b/c we are pretty small however there is another sorority that needs to get a certain amount of girls by the end of the semester or their chapter at our school will be disbanded due to continous low #'s over the past few years.

They want to know what sororities are available right now and while I want to help out our friends at the school who need new girls, I also want to help out my sorority so that kind of thing does not happen to us.

Should I just invite them to meet our girls or should I tell them about the other sorority?

I'd feel terrible if they went through the whole process with the other sorority only to have it be disbanded anyways.
On the other hand, I don't want to be a broom rider (witch) and deceive them about their choices.

HELP!

I would tell them about all the other sororities that are COBing, but not about how that particular sorority faces disbanding. Then invite them to your events. Give them the choice of which sororities they visit for COB because you don't want to refer them away & make them feel like you don't want them to come to your events! And you don't want them to join Sigma Kappa if they don't feel @ home there.

Really, the girls need to go where they feel comfortable or at home. What if they join that particular chapter BECAUSE numbers are low and they feel bad - - what if they end up hating it?? Or worse yet, what if they bleed those colors and then the chapter closes anyway? On the same note, if they joined SK "just because", thos will end up being 'those' sisters - - the ones that everyone talks about that doesn't actually being SK. So I say tell them of all the chapters that are COB-ing, nothing in particular about any of them, and let them make their own decision. :)
