My Deadline
Hey! I need some help. I'm in the middle of a project and need to know if anyone knows what this means or where it is from:
Doc Steven and little Amelia sure were good folk." Thanks alot! Love ya'll |
I tried Googling that phrase, and didn't come up with anything :(
Usually Google is pretty good at finding stuff like that :( On a brighter note, I hope you do great on your project! |
I have not been very lucky with the search either. I am guessing from the context that this is a quote from literature. The character speeking is either very young, or is of African American decent during the slave era. (I am not being racist, I am just going on basic literature of that time period.)
The sentence is stating that the main character is approving of the type of people Doc Steven and Amelia are. They might have kind hearts, servant spirits or simply disregard protocal and interact with a slave, where other whites would not. Does that help at all?? |
What class is this for? (Maybe that will help us...)
|
It was for an extracurricular event.... but it's over. The funny thing was that the clue (I just found out) relates to a building on my campus. Thanks for all of your help! I knew I could count on my sisters!
