Fundraiser success!!

Last year because my alumnae chapter hosted Zeta Days in Texas, we knew our annual fundraiser wouldn't get as much attention from our members as it normally would. We tried something different but even though it seemed like a great idea, it didn't click. We raised a little bit of money but due to a mix-up, none of it was ever sent to I/O. Yipes!

This year, we tried something different again and it was a HUGE success. We have a wrap-up party tomorrow night and at our monthly alumnae meeting next week, the final total will be revealed but my guess is at least 25K.

For more info about the event , go to this link http://www.coolcitiesusa.com/dfw/dfw2/sdfwindex.shtml and click on First Annual Girl Meets Boy Bachelor Auction. There is a descripton and 20 pages worth of pictures.

All I can say is Wow!!!!

This is absolutely amazing. Your organization should be so proud of the fundraising done for the Komen foundation. It looks like everyone had an incredible time! Kudos to the Texas Zetas!:D

Update

The good news just keeps rolling in! Last week, our event was the "Party of the Week" in a couple of upscale Dallas newspapers.

All ladies pictured, except the girl in the first photo, are from the Dallas Night alumnae group. Although getting such great press is fabulous, they never mentioned Zeta! Not sure why that is.

Also, one of the bachelors was "bought" by a reporter who will write about her experience in the June issue of "D Magazine".

And the grand total being sent to ZTAF is $29,500!!!!

That's wonderful news! Way to go and I agree the only thing missing in the article is a nice plug for ZTA. Maybe the reporter that bought a date will mention ZTA. :)
