rushing twice?
whats the best advice you could give to someone considering going through rush for a second time this coming fall?
|
I went through rush twice, although it was at 2 different schools. I think you should keep an open mind about each organization & be honest with yourself. Whatever made you not pledge last year could happen again this time around.
A good thing about going through rush twice is that you are prepared for what is happening. You know how rush works & you can help some of the other girls in your rush group! |
I went through twice. I received a bid freshman year from an organization that did not fit me. It was a tough decision, but I decided I'd rather go through again and find my true home rather than just "be Greek." It was hard going back to that house the second year, but now I've found my perfect place :D Good luck!

I did it but at two diffferent schools. Is it the same school?

Just be honest and be yourself. It may come up that you're going through a second time. Explain why it didn't work out the first time.
A fellow sister in my new member class rushed the year before, preffed ADPi and XYZ, and got a bid to ADPi. She came to Bid Day and wasn't able to continue due to money. She stayed friends with the girls she met at rush, her heart still set on ADPi, continued to do well in school and made a life on campus. That fall, Becky went through again, and AGAIN preffed ADPi and XYZ. She got her bid to ADPi (again!) and this time everything worked out. She was a great collegiate sister, served on exec, lived in the house, etc. and now is an alum. So things really do happen for a reason! |
