Where's the biggest house?
The SPE chapter in Knoxville, TN, which I have bragged about here several times for an outstanding and continuing alumni relations program, says in their latest letter that they are tearing down the existing house (40 yrs. old) and building a new $4 mil house with 40,000 sq. ft.
They say that the 40,000 sq. ft. house will be one of the largest anywhere. I wonder where the other large houses are? These Sig Eps say they need another $1 mil to begin construction, and $2.5 mil to have a debt-free house. I think they'll make the $2.5 mil, based on their alumni relations program. 40 000 square feet..wow
the kappa sigs at U of A have a pretty big house, but i don tthink its that big.. |
The Phi Psi house at Kansas University is 35,000 sq. ft, without counting the basement. If you include the basement, its over 40,000 sq. ft. Normal sleeping capacity is 93, but there are currently 98 in the house.

Florida State Pikes have a new house coming along, 40,000 square feet:

I have no idea of the square footage but there are some ginormous houses at IU.

When we were going through rush, we were told that the Phi Mu house here at OU was the largest. I don't remember the square footage, but it is three stories, plus basement, and it is huge and sprawling too.
