noooooooooooooooo! what should i do?

Update:

I'm putting it in here because the original post was looong. Anyway, I called for backup, and someone helped me dispose of the bodies. And my room no longer stinks. *phew*

Though I still have no clue how those fish died, since my roommate was so sure that their "special food would last for FOURTEEN days!" ---There were at least five of them, and they were all just floating around awkwardly, eyes wide open.

Scary.

Everyone keeps saying that! The murderer part, anyway. I don't THINK it was my fault. I hope not, anyway. Maybe I kept the room too hot/cold/loud?

Wait---so how did Screech and Zack handle their situation? Tell me, b/c I need to stop just sitting here, trying to remember old Saved by the Bell episodes. :D

sometimes bad things just happen to good fishies...
or did you get tony soprano involved?

To remove the smell:
Go to walmart and buy something called Odornix... This is the best stuff known to man. For pet odors, get the medical/vet formula.

You can also look for this online as well...

I'm sorry, but that's just so horribly funny!

they ALL just died? maybe there was something in the water?

OK, so apparently on Monday or Tuesday (while my roommate and I were both were out of town) there was this all-campus power outage. I'm assuming this cut off oxygen or something in the tank. If that's it, though, I realized this way after the fact---how long have I been sharing my room with dead fish?!

Anyway...thanks for the comments! :D :D :D

Oh, I killed one of my roommates fish in college. I went to try and find her an identical one, but decided it was kinda ugly (the gold fish with those weird brain thingies on their heads) so I bought a diff one for her. When she saw a full-grown brain one, she said she would have killed it herself had she known that's what it would look like!

it was probably due to ammonia (amonia? NH4) build up. generally, there is enough oxygen in the tank for a few days, but take the filter out...wastes build up...its not a pretty site.

trust me, this marine bio major managed to kill almost all the lab fish one weekend
