But seriously, charging her with child porn is ridiculous. Its of herself. She needs counseling, not a wrap sheet. If anyone needs to be the subject of an investigation, its her guardians.

Same thing happened at a school where my friend teaches, only it was 2 girls who were in 8th grade.

Yes you can. Its a parent's job to know what the children are doing. Not knowing might be negligence.

i didn't mean it was the parents fault per se . . but its an issue for them to discipline her . . not the government.

The article didn't say she was charged for abusing herself. It could be based on who she was sending pictures to.

I would say therapy would be the answer here.

That girl is 15 years old. Not 10. By the time a child is 15 they are doing most things on their own. A parent should never have to breathe down their child's neck, nor be responsible for things they could not possibly have known about.

It is their responsibility to know what is happening.

Her parents should be held responsible, and she should have to attend therapy
