is there a gay channel in our future?
 

i am shocked by this, not because i am opposed to it (cause i am not). i just want to know how this will be approached. will it be just another cable channel (i.e. Lifetime, Disney Channel, The Learning Channel....)
or will it be a more adult channel....

There already is in Canada - Pride Vision - it is on digital cable.

and of course during the free preview not one lesbian movie :(

course i wouldn't mind watching hours of "queer eye..." Even though the show focuses on the lives of straight guys, I pick up a lot of extra decorating and dining tips. It's great. :)

Pride Vision in Canada isn't an "adult channel". It shows different programming on gay lifestyle, etc. And since it's digital cable, many people don't have it. They're a relatively small market compared to many other stations.

Also in Canada, CityTV(Toronto), SexTV and Showcase show programs geared towards the Gay/Lesbian/Bi/Transgendered community.

They keep showing reruns of the Vancouver show - I thought they were going to start filming in TO.

One of the Kink regulars is a customer at the bank my friend works at... I don't think I'd be able to look at them in the eye...

Doesn't sound like a very useful channel.
