Locks of Love
 

ok, well, my drastic change that i mentioned a few days ago happened today. my hair, which early this morning measured 24 and 3/4 inches.....was drastically shorted by 13.5 inches today. :eek: i thought i would be more traumatized than i was, but i am pleased with the new 'do. my hair is/was just kinda one of my fave features, so it was hard to part with....but all is done, and for now, i dig the look.

she made 5 different pony tails with my hair, and then cut them all off right above the band.....it was skerry! :o but someone out there with no hair will get fabulous hair now, so i am happy. :)

I think it looks really cute and the fact that you donated it (I had a friend in HS do the same thing) is WAY COOL! :cool:

It looks great short! I think that's such a fabulous organization, and you are wonderful to support it.

My biological little sister (12) donated hers last year. I was pretty impressed that such a little girl was willing to do that.

i'm glad you think i look "older" and stuff....i was afraid i would look even more like a high schooler. lol. i posted the other pics i took today to same link as above, just go through the pics to see them all if ya wanna.

but, thanks, y'all.....the feedback i have had so far from ppl here (which isn't much since i haven't seen too many ppl today) has been good....one of my sisters said i look even more like snow white.....super. :rolleyes: ;)

Your hair looks fabulous short!!

And Locks of Love is a great org...I'm working on growing my hair to donate it. Our chapter president does it like every 2 years or something like that.

Tri Delta's national partnership is with St Jude, and we recently donated money and wrote letters to some of the kids, and this one girl wrote back to us. She told us that her older sister had cancer and so does she now too; and then she told us she didn't want to get chemo because she didn't want her hair to fall out cause she wanted to be pretty like all the Tri Deltas that visit her!!! I think everyone in my chapter wants to donate money now.

So just think, your hair might go to that little girl...and she can think about how she wants to be pretty like the Alpha Gams!

My daughter donated her hair to Locks for Love 3 years ago. It's such an unselfish act that is so beneficial to the recipient!
