TV Shows, Cancelled?

I was reading in Upscale that Steve Harvey and his wife have some tv shows/movie ideas that had been "picked up".

And, Cedric "TE" has a new show coming on about a coach in a urban high school or something.

So, my question is, has the Steve Harvey show been cancelled, officially? I had heard rumors that WB wasn't gonna have it in their Fall line-up, but this was months ago.

Does anyone know what's up with that? Or the status of other shows on the tube?

Other cancellations:
Moesha

Well I believe I heard him say on ET the other day that this upcoming season would be his last and he was not going to go out all sentimental. But I had also heard they weren't picking him back up this season. So I don't know. Maybe Steve was referring to last season being the last and that they didn't end sentimental. I don't know.

I saw him on Entertainment Tonight as did DST Love and heard Steve Harvey say the same thing as he was profiled.

It's almost time to say good-bye to the show.

How do you all think they'll end the show? How do you hope that they'll end the show?

As for Nikki, I hope that Steve and Regina finally get together. I love their friendship, but I also think that it could lead them into a wonderful marriage (if it were real life, that is).

Say Good Bye to Steve and 'em

I could have sworn there was another thread about Steve Harvey but @ any rate. . . In case you did not know ( I just learned a few minutes ago) tonight is the LAST SHOW ever of Steve and the gang:

"California or Bust-Up", Episode #612.
(Series finale) When Regina accepts a job in California, Steve must decide whether or not to move with his loved one.

Dancerella1908 02-17-2002 11:57 PM

I saw the final episode Steve Harvey tonight and I was disappointed. I expected more!!

Regina got the dean's job at a private school in Cali, and Steve moved there but then what???? LaVita and Cedric's role kinda were left hanging. Did she have the baby(on the show) and what was in store for the future for the two of them??? They didn't even get to tell Regina and Steve goodbye! What about Lydia, Romeo and Bullet heads futures!!

I know somethings are left to the imagination, but come on....

I can't stand for a series finale' to come across as rushed and not well thought out. The fans deserve more. ;)

It could have been rushed...

Usually, when shows begin their season in September, they don't have their season finales until early May. I wonder what happened?

I missed the show...that doggone AKA had me working all day. ;) :D

Another show ending suddenly, without any closure, per se...

A Different World
Moesha
Living Single-that "ending" was pooh (sad). :(

Can you all think of any of "our" shows that ended suddenly?

I am still  about Moesha. The only real Series Finale that satisfied me was the Cosby Show. OH and Fresh Prince had one.

I did not LIKE the Sister Sister one -- didn't we talk about that on here??

Bad ending

Thank you Dancerella1908! I had the same questions. Lavita and Cedric hit the lottery. How much did they win? They didn't have the baby. When did the students graduate? Did Romeo go to some college or what? All of a sudden it was summer-time.
I read the article in Sunday's paper about the final episode. It mentioned Steve Harvey was ready for the show to end last season. The WB people talked him into 13 more episodes. So, that's what we got. Um.

I for got Moesha just suddenly ended as did A Different World -- my all time favorite. I love A Different World. Bill Cosby always worked some positive messages in there. Don't even get me started on that show... Whew.....

It was a TERRIBLE ENDING!! It could have at least been one hour and tell me what Ced and Lavita had.

Romeo, Bullethead, and Lydia gradauated last Sunday.

Today's episode of A Different World was the one where 2PAC was on it (RIP unless he is not really dead:eek: ) and the other guy that was Lena's friend used the word BOOTYLICIOUS!!!   This means Beyonce was not the originator!! CTHU:p

Hmmm..... I though the last episode of a Different World was the one where Dwanye had accepted that job in Tokyo, so he and Whitley moved to Japan? I think they also had a going away party for them in the pit.

This is a little off the subject, but I understand there will be a "Cosby Show" reunion special as part of NBC's 70th anniversary celebration this year. I don't know when, but it will probably be around sweeps.

I look forward to seeing it.

The Steve Harvey Show

I think that's phucked up! That was one of the best shows for us, by us, in a good while. I can't believe that cancelled it. The last show had a pretty good ending. If it had to end, that was one good way to do it.

AKA2D '91 02-18-2002 06:45 PM

Steve's show was aight. I laughed, but as far as being realistic regarding teachers, principals and students...that's another story.

Another show that was just DROPPED was the Jamie Foxx Show, if I'm not mistaken. The Wayans Brothers was another one. Towards the end, that show was weak.

The Different World finale was weak, too.

Girl cuz I don't know about you but our school secretaries (one of them) is old and mean. They are all old but jut one mean one.

Besides that, our principal does not do music videos with the kids.

Hmm just hot glorified stinky poo poo mess.

Now to see what CED's show will do.

Hollyg 02-19-2002 10:15 AM

Oh, I forgot A Different World had Whitley and Dwayne going to Japan. That's right.

I guess what I am missing from the shows I like is a nice send-off. Can you imagine if it were the "Friends" last episode.....it would be advertised for weeks...I didn't find out it was the last episode for Steve Harvey, before reading the article in the Sunday paper.

I'm sure if they hyped it up, more people would tune in. More people watching could only help their careers. :(
