I need help
 

I looked for a thread that dealt with this but I didn't see one...sorry if it is...

I help with a collaboration that is an interactive, public/private network anchored in faith for the primary purpose of assisting youth in obtaining the knowledge of other things they need to know spiritually, academically, economically, and socially that are critical for their fulfillment and success in life. Services provided by the collaboration include assessment and referral, counseling, educational development, job skill training and mentoring. I am the Program Coordinator for the Career Development Program. Even though the organization is funded by grants and donations the CDP could use funds strictly for job-skill training. I have many ideas and even though the Exec. Director loves them and fights the Advisory Board to give me financial backing for them sometimes I can't always get an okay. I don't want the kids to be the ones short handed so I'm trying my best to raise or receive money (carwashes, fundraisers, grants, etc.) If you have any information I would really appreciate if you could forward it to me.

You can compose a letter to area businesses, corporations, or groups that may donate funds to your program. You will be surprised how much money these entities have allocated for donations.

AKA2D '91 thanks. I've contacted a lot of local and state businesses as well as located a few grants (federal). Hopefully I will be getting them off and hearing something real soon. Once again thanks.
