The answer is no...
And I know this, I do. But I'm desperate. So I'm throwing it out there anyway- does anyone know of any even remotely effective hickey removal methods? There's only so much you can do with makeup, and I'm pale enough that it's generally quite noticeable. It's not the end of the world, but I'd like to get a little less shit at work tomorrow...so if any of those high school rumors or old wive's tales are true, please please please let me know. Thank you for your assistance in this catastrophic matter :)

Turltenecks can be effective.
I have heard that combing the area within a few hours can help them look less obvious. If you can see the hickeys, it is too late. |
Turtlenecks! Or, there's this stuff that Max Factor makes called Pancake...it's very thick makeup, like stage makeup. It's good for covering stuff up. :D

DMSO . . .
A hickey is justa bruise right? So a 50/50 solution should get rid of a hicky over night. You put it on for about 10 minutes and then rinse it off . . Worked for me. |
OMG you put dmso on you!!
ewww that stuff REEKS and supposedly tastes just as bad. not to mention it is a powerful solvent that will take whatever happens to be on your skin right into your body!!! and it isnt good for your kidneys either...We have to be very careful when we use it at work. And the horses reek for days when they have DMSO in their fluids. |
wtf is dmso? (besides something that doesnt sound very appealing as a topical or oral solution)

Have your love bites faded yet?

sigh. not even close. it's hideous and embarrasing...and i was a real live makeup consultant, so ive got the concealor skills, and all the best makeup. and yet still there's only so much i can do. hopefully it disapears before i go home and visit my mom, don't want to listen to her talking smack on it...

DMSO dimethylsulfoxide
powerful organic solvent -- you get it on your skin and it will pass through immediately -- tastes AWFUL , yes you can taste it from just touching it -- and whatever is mixed with it also passes through your skin. nasty stuff, but it is good for veterinary use.... it makes them smell like really really bad garlic....for days it is nauseating to have to smell it |
The best thing I've learned to use is FACIAL HIGHLIGHTER!!! My little niece had an allergic reaction to stage makeup a few weeks ago and caused a hickey-like mark on her neck. I put that stuff on her and blended it in and you couldn't tell she even had a mark! By the way, she is a very fair/pale little girl, so when you said you were also, I figured this was your best option :D
PS: Next time ask him to give ya one where only you and him can see ;) |
remove the hickey?
Remove the boy instead! By this age he should know how to give some lovin' without leaving his mark! :p |

Now I'm trying to think back as to when it was last that I had a hickey. In a public part, anyway. *evil laugh* |
