21 Birthday
 

It's my 21st tomarrow, I'm so excited. Plus I'm gonna get to see some sisters who graduated and are coming to celebrate with me.

Any advice on shots that I should avoid?

not really "shots" advice, but something one of my friends used to tell me:

beer before liquor - never been sicker

liquor before beer - you're all in the clear :p


Drink lots of water before you go to bed (after the night is over) it will help lessen the craziness the next morning (at least it has worked for me!)

I don't do shots anymore... they make me ill.. but I do like mixed drinks!

my favs are long island ice teas, cosmopolitans, appletinis, and good 'ol Malibu coconut rum with sprite!

Thirdly, why shots? The fruity mixed ones are so freakin expensive here and don't have much alcohol. All I can say is if anyone offers to buy you a liquid cocaine, avoid it like the plague. The name says it all, but when you are 3 sheets, you never know.

My fav regular drinks: red bull and absolut citron, chambord sours, mint mojitos, washington apples, and vanilla vodka/coke. My roommate gets something called a "treesmacker." I don't like it, too much coconut or something. But it's the ultimate girly drink with a punch. It has 151 in it.

Shot suggestions: surfer on acid (if you like coconut), scooby snack (it goes down easy and it's green), and see if they can make you something called a "thin mint" or "dirty girl scout."

Happy Birthday!

In general, I've found that if you stick to one kind of drink, you're better off. Also, avoid anything carbonated. Finally, spend the extra bucks for premium brands. Your body will thank you.

Two words:

Liquid Cocaine

I'm a big tequilla fan, so I'd say you have to have at least one shot (if not several!)

I'm a martini girl, so I can't really give you good shot advice. Do try a martini, though; they are an acquired taste, but I am happy to have acquired it. :D

I know they are bad, but what is in one? One of my friends said it was one thing and then I actually had half of one (this guy couldn't finish it) once. But the bartender didn't know what was in it for sure. The one I had tasted like peppermint schnapps.

I was looking through a bunch of drink recipe sights and some of the Liquid Cocaine "recipes" include peppermint schnapps, vodka, gin, grand marnier, and other ingredients. I think the true Liquid Cocaine contains the ingredients I listed above.

Mmmm...Irish car bombs. I love Guiness; I think I was a leprechan in a past life or something!

Actually that's considered a college fairy tale.

I absolutely hate guiness but I like all the bombing games.

Try a cement mixer for an interesting shot and three wise men if you want to hit it hard before you leave.
