Clearing sorority letters please review and comment
Greetings everyone.
First off, I want to scrub two Greek letter combinations for the founding of a sorority. Those are as follows: Tau Sigma Iota Nu Sigma Iota My fraternity, Alpha Sigma Chi (ASC) has taken on the task of helping in the founding of a sorority for the same community of interest that ASC serves: intelligence and national security. Several discussions have taken place about the difficulties of founding a social fraternity with a professional bent that is exclusive to males. ASC always intended to ensure that the opportunity exists for females attending our audience institutions, or employed within our COI to have an equal opportunity. The solution is that we're going to be partner organizations. We're going to stand up a protal on the web that has information about both GLOs and directs applicants and other interested individuals to either. Part of the agreement, a welcome part, is that ASC agrees to assist the sorority in meeting all the basic founding requirements - one of which is having a NAME. That's why I've brought these letters here. I've cleared them on the web, at greekpages.com, and everywhere else I could think of. Please advise if you are aware of any Sorority or co-ed honor society that goes by either of these names: TSI or NSI. I'll be posting this on a couple different forums for widest possible exposure. Fraternally, D |
I think TSI sounds better and there is a frat with a similar name to NSI, the name of that frat is Iota Nu Sigma. I think its best to go with TSI so there is no confusion plus NSI sounds more like NASA lol.......anyways......that is my recommendatioin.
It would be cool to be called Tau Sigs |
TSI. Definately TSI.

esp since nu sigma are my sororities first letters:) (we go by nu sig- or NEX ::rolleyes:: ) idk what iota means in latin- but nu sigma is nike (nee kee) sun (pronounced soon) ((charity (pronounced cha-ree-tee)) which means "victory through loveliness" let us know how it works out:) good luck!!! |
