ktsnake (or anyone) Office equipment?
Do you have any advice? I want to get a copier. I only need to make about 30 copies a month.
Would I (could I) be better off with buying a scanner for my computer and making the copies? Or, are there little desktop copiers that run independent of computers that are inexpensive. That would be my preference. I know NOTHING about this. |
I would suggest getting a multifunction machine.
Staples has a lot of them Scanning can be a real challenge, unless you spend A LOT of time doing it. You can get some 3 or 4 in one machines for only a couple hundred bucks, depending on what you need. Good luck! Allison |
Multifunction machines are great.
They are pretty affordable compared to standalone units, they take up less space and typically also include a plain-paper fax. The only downside to multifunction is that they are not economical to operate if you're considering printing large quantities. However, the ink tank tends to be larger than you'd find on a normal consumer printer. For small offices they work great. |
THANK YOU!!!
When I saw the link, first thought-What's Stap les? French???:o LAM (Laughing at myself!):D |
Multifunction machines are great if you need a copier and fax and scanner and printer but you're short on space.
The problem is that if just one little component fails, you stand to be without your copier, fax, scanner, and printer as opposed to, say, just your printer. If you do get a multifunction unit, don't get an HP. They eat ink for breakfast. |
Good point aephi alum!

This thread makes a lot more sense now that I realize yall are saying:
multifunction not MAL-function I didn't know why anyone would want a malfunction machine. :) |
