Asthma Capitals of the World

Having grown up with asthma, this interests me.

According to a new survey, these were the worst places for people with asthma:

1. Knoxville, Tennessee
2. Little Rock, Arkansas
3. St. Louis, Missouri
4. Madison, Wisconsin
5. Louisville, Kentucky
6. Memphis, Tennessee
7. Toledo, Ohio
8. Kansas City, Missouri
9. Nashville, Tennessee
10. Hartford, Connecticut

Asthmatics of the world, sound off. . .

with the exception of #'s 4 and 10, is there a reason why the south is bad for asthmatics?
(excuse my geography, but if its below delaware, then its south for me. i dont know why, but i put the midwest in the same group as south. ?)

I am surprise Cleveland, OH isn't on the list. I grew up with asthma and it seems like at least more then half the people I knew had asthma.
